Kenora is renowned for its natural beauty, however it has a very vibrant arts and culture scene as well as many unique local businesses. No matter what your interests, there is always something exciting taking place.
Special events and summer go hand in hand and you won’t be disappointed with the variety of exciting events that Kenora has to offer all summer long. From the weekly farmers’ markets, to Harbourfest, to the Thursday Night Harbourfront Concerts there is always something happening. Events in Kenora are not just limited to the summer either, winter boasts a number of poker derbys, ice fishing tournaments, ski events, and, of course, the Kenora Winter Carnival is not to be missed.
For those that like to explore, our five beaches, trail networks, and Lake of the Woods offer you many opportunities to relax and enjoy the natural attraction that surrounds you. Whether you are driving, walking, skiing, or kayaking, there are numerous ways to get out and explore… and we encourage you to do so.
This summer we are very excited to be opening our Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre. Overlooking the lake, it is the perfect location to stop by and find out all of the great Stuff that Kenora has to offer.
