Now in our third year! Kenora Stuff is a 42 page publication and is distributed on an annual basis and has a run of 15,000 copies. All area hotels and motels as well as key tourist traffic locations are targeted.

Your Ad could be seen by up to 219,000 customers.
Kenora Stuff Magazine will be distributed throughout the Kenora area to over 15 different hotels & motels for placement in the rooms. With over 500 rooms in the area, each with an average occupancy rate of about 60%, the magazine could be seen by up to 219,000 people in a 12 month period (based on 2 people per room) or an average of 18,250 potential readers per month (much more in the summer months of course).

An initial run of 15,000 magazines will be printed and distributed to the motels and an additional run of up to 10,000 magazines will be printed as needed. This leaves a minimum of 30 issues per room (based on 12 months/ 500 rooms).

Kenora Stuff Magazine will include editorials featuring local artists, groups, businesses or events that would be of interest to a visitor AND WILL MAKE THEM PICK IT UP. The magazine will also include a city map which will show your location as well as a list of local attractions and an event schedule.

All ads must be supplied digitally, created on a Macintosh using QuarkXpress (v 4.11 or earlier) for application files and Acrobat Distiller (v 4.0 or 3.0) for Portable Document Format (PDF) files.

For PDF files:
Select Press Optimized job option in Acrobat Distiller 4.0 to create PDF or contact Kenora Stuff Production Department for customized job option to create PDF.

Checklist for creating PDF:

• Fonts must be included when file is saved
• Use only Type 1 fonts
• Supporting images must be converted to CMYK and not saved as RGB
• High resolution images (266-300 dpi) must be included when file is saved.
• Do not nest EPS files into other EPS files
• Right reading, portrait, 100% size, no rotations

For Application files:

• Minimize the number of steps used to create a graduation or blend
• Do not reduce images in Quark, all images must be 100% in their final size
• Convert type to outlines when supplying Adobe Illustrator files
• All screen/printer fonts and graphics must be included with digital file(s) (fonts will be deleted after use)
• Images must be converted to CMYK and not submitted as RGB
• Supply images as TIFF or EPS (no JPG) at 266-300 dpi (high resolution only).
• Do not nest EPS files into other EPS files
• Right reading, portrait, 100% size, no rotations
• Ensure trim, bleed and centre marks are visible & no marks included in the "live" area

Additional Note:

• Industrial strength digital proof must accompany PDF file and/or application file for proper colour reference
• Supply advertisement(s) on a ZIP or CD ROM or send via email

PROOFING REQUIREMENTS

• Digital proofs ONLY such as Iris or Fuji are required by Kenora Stuff as a guide to reproduction (tear sheets and black & white laser output are not acceptable)
• Colour lasers are not acceptable for proper colour reference.
• We are not responsible for poor colour reproduction when a colour laser is supplied.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• All digital files, artwork, etc., will be destroyed by Publisher if not demanded within 1 year after last use.
• Late receipt of digital files or changes are subject to an additional charge of $60.00.
• For further digital requirements please refer to DMACS (Digital Magazine Advertising Canadian Specifications) at www.dMACS.org

Special Notes:

• For bleed ads, all live matter must be kept a minimum of 1/2" away from the trim.
• For 2/3 page bleed ads, the bleed width includes 1/4" bleed on each side of the ad that will be trimmed.
• Publisher reserves the right to crop 1/4" from either side of bleed ads to compensate for left or right-hand page.
• Changes to ad material will be made by the Publisher only on written instruction from the agency or client, and all changes must be received at least 30 days prior to cover date. Proofs incorporating such changes will be sent to the agency or client for approval. Publisher assumes no responsibility for errors and omissions resulting from changes. Kenora Stuff endeavors to comply with all advertiser's changes. However, the publication cannot be responsible for additional copy/design changes to client-approved final proofs.

Email delivery information
Production department requests that all PDF files and/or application files sent via email be no larger than 6 mb in size. Files must be Self-Extracting Archives (.sea) if compression software is used. Ad material can be emailed to info@kenorastuff.com
